Chocolate Salted Caramel Bliss Balls
Chocolate, salted caramel and peanut butter... all my favourite flavours combined. I assure you that once you tried these you can't stop eating them!
Recipe (makes 15) Prep time: 1 hour
1 cup oatmeal
1 cup cashews
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
opt: salted caramel flavouring or protein powder
1/2 bar dark chocolate
Blend the oats, salt, vanilla extract and maple syrup and cashews (and optional salted caramel flavouring/protein powder) until a fine powder forms.
While the blender is on, slowly add each date. If the mixture is not sticky enough, add some water (about 2-3 tablespoons) until a sticky dough forms.
Roll into 15 medium sized balls. Slice through the middle, poke a hole with you finger and add a bit of peanut butter to each hole.
Gently press the halves together and roll back into a ball.
Place in the freezer for 30 minutes so that they harden a bit.
Melt the chocolate au bain marie.
Get the balls out of the freezer and dunk them into the dark chocolate.
Place them back in the fridge or freezer until the chocolate is hardened.
